Paw2Pal
Paw2Pal
Currently In Development
In response to an industry provocation delivered by the RSPCA, our team began the process of ideating and designing a project to help streamline the connection between the RSPCA and communities. Paw2Pal is a hybrid mobile application, that caters to five of the six main mobile app groups, that allows animal lovers to access a range of unique services at the tip of their fingers. Our all-in-one app is targeted to a primary audience of 21-40 year old animal lovers and a secondary audience of 18+. Through research and both peer and industry consultations we were able to strengthen our initial ideas and develop a working prototype within a 3 month period. While developing this project we had to consider several factors that emerged through both the initial provocation and peer feedback. A major consideration was in regard to financing due to the RSPCA being a not-for-profit charity organisation which cannot effectively provide funds for such a project. With this in mind a financing plan and marketing plan were devised and are included in this document. We also identified a limitation that requires further exploration in the future cost and process of the application’s maintenance. Despite the possible limitations, Paw2Pal is a highly valuable tool for achieving the RSPCA’s mission in preventing animal cruelty by building community connections and subsequently the awareness of animal welfare.
My role in the project is Project Manager where I am in charge of scheduling oversight, delegating, and progress tracking. I am also in a position of availability to assist the other members in their tasks if needed.
